Election 2016

# Article

A reminder America. Just because someone voted differently than you does not mean that they hate you and oppose everything you stand for.

Just because someone voted Trump doesn’t mean they are a racist and misogynist who wants to build a wall and deport all foreigners. Just because someone voted Clinton does not mean that they want to take away your guns.

Our country looks divided because our political system is binary.

Just remember, American values and beliefs are not binary.

They span a wonderful and broad spectrum.

A women’s rights supporter can genuinely vote for Trump if their beliefs on Gun Control are more important to them.

An NRA member can vote for Hilary if they feel that LGBTQ rights are more important to them.

Let’s drop the hate and vitriol.

We aren’t separated by a gulf. We differ only by a few degrees.
