Family Is Never Finished

I swear I've heard "Family is forever" so many times it's beyond cliche at this point. Besides what does that even mean. it's so ambiguous that I've heard versions of it used as a get out of jail free card for being a crappy person. "Families are forever. Guess you're stuck with me. Guess you'll have to keep putting up with my BS."

The truth is family, and any relationship for that matter, takes effort. That's why I like my version, "Family is never finished". It's not something you can put on cruise control. It requires constant and deliberate action over an entire lifetime.
